Job summary

Qualifications

  • Two years escrow experience required.
  • Texas applicant only: must have an Escrow License or obtainable within 30 days from hire date.
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Proficient in title production and closing software (SoftPro, Ramquest, ResWare).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, organize and audit closed title files for accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
  • Communicate with appropriate parties to resolve questions regarding title files.
  • Review documents for curative matters including satisfactions and releases.
  • Review names on contract, buyer identification, vesting, notaries, descriptions, and lien information; record via Simplifile.
  • Verify Simplifile recording fees vs. amounts collected; disburse file.
  • Prepare receipts/deposits for funds from customers/lenders; send funding authorization.
  • Balance the file; disburse funds and verify outgoing wires.
  • Prepare and copy disbursement and closing transmittals; ship closing packages.
  • Prepare documents for recording with counties; ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Verify legal descriptions and acknowledgements; distribute Deed of Trust to lender.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do
  • Review, verify, organize and audit closed title files to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
  • Communicate with appropriate parties to resolve questions and concerns regarding title file
  • Review and verify documents relative to all curative matters, including satisfactions and releases
  • Review/ verify names on contract, buyer identification, vesting, completion of notary acknowledgements, legal descriptions, and lien information, and record documents via Simplifile
  • Review Simplifile recording fees collected are accurate versus amount collected
  • Disburse file
  • Prepare receipts/deposits for all funds received from customers and/or lenders
  • Send and receive funding authorization from the lender
  • Balance the file, disburse all funds and verify outgoing wire transfers
  • Prepare and copies for disbursement and closing transmittals
  • Prepare and ship closing packages: Verify that documents are properly signed by all parties
  • Prepare documents for recording with various counties, while ensuring documents meet recording regulations
  • Verify legal descriptions and acknowledgements
  • Distribute recorded Deed of Trust to the lender
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Sound Like You?
  • Two (2) years of escrow experience
  • Texas applicant only : Required to have an Escrow License or must be able to obtain one within 30 days from hire date
  • Must be of high integrity, technical competence and high moral character
  • Strong communications skills – written, verbal, and listening
  • Highly proficient level of computer skills in title production and closing software (e.g. SoftPro, Ramquest, ResWare) including spreadsheet, word processing, and power point
  • Proficient in using communication tools such as phone and computer, including Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to manage key timeframes and strict deadlines
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through clear verbal and written communication, collaborating effectively with both internal and external customers
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.

Physical Demands:
