Job summary

West Coast Escrow in San Diego is seeking an experienced escrow officer to manage residential escrow transactions from opening through closing, coordinating with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and title personnel to ensure timely, accurate closings.

You will review contracts and documents, resolve issues, and build strong relationships with referral partners. A high level of organization and a track record of growing escrow volume are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years escrow experience, front- and back-end.
  • Notary public and escrow officer licenses.
  • Technical knowledge of the closing process.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with all parties.
  • Existing client base or referral network.
  • Experience growing escrow volume through business development.
  • Experience managing a high-volume escrow desk.
  • About 15-30K of a revenue a month on their revenue desk.

Responsibilities

  • Manage residential escrow transactions from opening through closing, ensuring milestones, documentation, funding, and deadlines are met.
  • Review contracts, escrow instructions, title reports, and loan documents for compliance and readiness.
  • Coordinate buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, attorneys, surveyors, title personnel, and others through the closing process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, brokers, lenders, builders, and referral partners.
  • Identify and resolve title, funding, documentation, or closing issues to prevent delays.
  • Generate new escrow opportunities through networking, relationship-building, and client service.
  • Support and mentor escrow assistants by delegating tasks and auditing files.
  • Deliver a positive closing experience while contributing to escrow volume growth and revenue goals.

What you'll do

You are the key to home ownership. As an escrow officer, you’re the human link between our process and people. You’re there at the beginning, reviewing contracts and following instructions. You’re there in the middle, ensuring that all the associated paperwork is completed efficiently and accurately. You’re working with agents and their clients to keep the process moving forward, verifying that titles are clean, taxes are paid, and loans are funded. Finally, you’re there at the end, to assure that no funds or property will change hands until all terms have been carried to completion.
