Job summary

Stannah is seeking an experienced Escalator Engineer for night shifts in Greater London. You'll maintain, service and repair escalators and moving walkways across major transport hubs, rail stations and airports, working 19:00–07:00 on a 4 on/4 off pattern.

The role focuses on fault finding and safe operation, using your mechanical and electrical skills to keep passenger equipment moving reliably while avoiding callouts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on escalators and moving walkways
• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering
• A valid UK driving license is essential for this role

Escalator Engineer - Night Jobs in Greater London at Stannah - Join Our Team!

Salary: Up to £85,000 (incl OTE) based on skills and experience level, and Paid Door to Door.

Location: Greater London (including Gatwick & Stansted rail stations)
Hours: 19:00 – 7:00, 4 on 4 off (12-hour shifts with 45-minute unpaid break)

As an Escalator Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing escalators and moving walkways across some of the UK's most heavily used transport environments.

This is a varied, hands‑on role where no two nights are the same. You'll use your mechanical and electrical fault‑finding expertise to keep critical passenger equipment operating safely and reliably.

You’ll work across a range of equipment including:

• - KONE TM, RTV and RTK units
• - Schindler 9300 escalators
• - Anlev systems
• - Otis 506 NCE equipment

Unlike many engineering roles, your work will be focused within Greater London, meaning you'll enjoy exposure to major infrastructure projects without extensive regional travel.
