Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles seeks a Program Assistant I - ERSEA to support eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance activities within Head Start programs. You will coordinate with families, staff, and community partners to ensure full enrollment and accurate documentation.

The role requires at least 1 year of data monitoring or general office experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• TB clearance within 6 months.
• Annual influenza vaccination between Nov 1 and Mar 31.
• Pertussis and measles immunization.
• Health screening at time of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ERSEA Plan implementation and enrollment-related activities to reach full enrollment.
• Maintain direct communication between family, program staff, Family Advocates, Administrative staff, and community members; input data into Child Plus.
• Monitor attendance to ensure the minimum 85% average daily attendance and accurate meal counts.
• Maintain records and monitor family enrollment; ensure compliance with performance standards.
• Attend meetings required by funding sources and agency management; prepare and submit reports promptly.
