Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Program Assistant I - ERSEA to support eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment and attendance activities. You will assist with coordinating attendance data, training staff, and ensuring compliance with established regulations and performance standards.

You will help monitor enrollment, prepare reports, and act as a liaison to mobilize community resources while supporting family advocacy and program operations in a busy Head Start context.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint clearance or background check required.
• TB clearance within 6 months prior.
• Influenza vaccination between Nov 1 and Mar 31.
• Pertussis and measles immunization.
• Health screening at time of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of ERSEA Plan to reach full enrollment.
• Coordinate attendance records and data entry in Child Plus for monitoring/reporting.
• Monitor attendance and meal counts to ensure 85% ADA or higher.
• Attend meetings and prepare required reports and forms.
• Support program staff and family communication and community partnerships.
