Position: ERP Technical Services Manager

Department: Technology

Reports To: Director of ERP Services

Open to either of the following: 100% On-Site or Hybrid (3 days in Office/2 Days Remote) for local candidates (within 30 miles of the work location).

We are hiring an ERP Technical Services Manager who can deliver value to the agency using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations to manage its finances.

This role involves managing technical support activities for Financials software, including planning, design, development, and upgrades to applications, subsystems, and interfaces. The manager must oversee outstanding tasks and ensure issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.

Essential Job Functions:

(Duties are not all inclusive and may include other responsibilities.)

1. Participate in developing and monitoring department goals, objectives, and systems.
2. Identify and resolve IT and technical issues related to the financial system.
3. Hold regular meetings with management to ensure software meets agency needs.
4. Develop and manage implementation plans for updates, fixes, and enhancements, including timelines and documentation.
5. Collaborate with departments to meet customer needs.
6. Research product development options and assist in product direction analysis.
7. Supervise critical activities, troubleshoot, or escalate issues as needed.
8. Align IT initiatives with business requirements.
9. Support day-to-day operations of ERP applications with application analysts.
10. Analyze system change requests for impact and prioritize accordingly.
11. Serve as a technical resource for the software system's growth and utilization.
12. Understand customer needs, distinguishing between functional and technical support.
13. Coordinate with Database Services, IT, and Project teams to resolve issues quickly.
14. Manage the productivity and quality of service of direct reports.
15. Maintain records in compliance with policies.
16. Maintain awareness of EMS and handle related responsibilities per policies and procedures.
17. Prepare documentation for audits and reviews.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Training/Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience: 5+ years as a Technical Manager or Lead supporting ERP Financials; experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.

Licenses: Virginia Driver’s License.

Additional Details: This position is classified as essential personnel and is exempt under FLSA. Physical demands include high-speed keyboard operation. Work may involve seasonal overtime and meeting multiple demands.
