Job summary

Plante Moran's Business Technology Advisory team seeks a driven professional to support client technology initiatives across industries. You will analyze business needs, assess ERP options, and translate findings into actionable roadmaps and recommendations.

The role involves collaboration with senior consultants, discovery of IT improvements, and potential travel for engagements, all while contributing to strategic research and thought leadership within technology and operations domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, supply chain, information technology, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience ranging from technical professionals to C-level executives/leaders.
• Ability to efficiently multitask amongst multiple client and internal projects.
• Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
• Foundational information technology (IT) knowledge such as types of enterprise cloud-based applications as well as business acumen and knowledge of business process design in areas such as supply chain and accounting are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing business analysis functions, including working directly with clients and senior management consultants to build out plans for adopting new enterprise software solutions, such as ERP.
• Analyzing proposals from technology vendors and creating robust deliverables to help clients make informed IT investment decisions.
• Participating in strategic research projects on advanced technology assisting with thought leadership articles.
• Performing IT due diligence activities on behalf of private equity clients and strategic corporate buyers as they evaluate potential acquisitions in manufacturing, distribution, and service industries.
• Creating IT scorecards, best practice analyses, risk assessments, financial summaries, and overall recommendations.
• Analyzing complex merger integration and carve-out separation scenarios including providing feedback on and developing transition service agreements and transition workplans.
• Translating technical observations into practical, actionable, and readily understandable roadmaps for client sponsors.
• Providing advisory and/or management support to execute roadmaps and recommendations following completed acquisition.
• Developing industry expertise on both technology and operations in verticals such as private equity, construction, food & beverage, medical devices, industrial & business services, automotive and distribution.
• Developing relationships with clients and participating in networking/business development activities
