Job summary

GKN Aerospace in Westlake, Texas, is seeking an ERP Systems Specialist to provide business support and deliver best practices for ERP applications aligned with the business requirements.

You will develop and support background processes, ensure security, train users, manage lifecycle, and liaise with vendors and auditors while gathering requirements and assessing solutions to drive standardization and efficiency across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science; Will consider 8+ years of professional IT experience in related field, in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience working with Perl, Linux and Windows server including Scheduler.
• Minimum of 3 years of Creating/maintaining supporting & maintaining Oracle objects, stored procedures, tables, views, functions, materialized views, DB links, etc. in a Relational database environment (preferably Oracle).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Be aware of the latest capabilities and drive the use of standard tools and processes in the system arena.
• Liaising with external parties (e.g. consultants, software vendors, auditors etc.) where required.
• Gathers functional and non-functional requirements of systems, processes and business models.
• Supports the change management process Assist in determining time and cost estimates for assigned projects.
• Identifies options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
• Documenting processes and procedures (and maintaining them).

• Experience with Supply Chain, Inventory Control, Finance, Engineering and/or Procurement.
• Experience working in an Aerospace and Defense environment.
