Qualifications

• Experience supporting production operations, scheduling, or admin tasks preferred.
• Tekla PowerFab or similar steel fabrication software experience preferred.

• Quickly gain proficiency in Waukegan Steel's ERP system.
• Coordinate and maintain ERP workflows that support fabrication and production activities.
• Communicate with fabrication, production, and management teams regarding jobs, schedules, and documentation.
• Walk production areas regularly to monitor and document fabrication activity.
• Resolve ERP and workflow issues to ensure the team has accurate information.
• Prepare and distribute ERP reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Support CNC file management and distribution to fabrication equipment.
• Provide admin support to the Plant Manager and production leadership.
• Assist with maintaining records and documentation related to safety initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and reporting capabilities.

Position Summary

Waukegan Steel is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and driven ERP System Coordinator to support our fabrication operations team. This role is a critical member of the production team and is responsible for overseeing ERP system workflows, coordinating production information, supporting fabrication documentation, and managing CNC file distribution to ensure efficient plant operations.

The ERP System Coordinator will work closely with production, engineering, and plant leadership teams to ensure accurate and timely flow of information throughout the fabrication process. Essential Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain ERP workflows that support fabrication and production activities.

• Walk production areas regularly to monitor and document fabrication activity.
• Resolve ERP and workflow issues to ensure team members have the information required to complete work efficiently.
• Prepare and distribute ERP reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly production metrics.
• Support CNC file management and distribution to fabrication equipment as required.
• Provide administrative support to the Plant Manager and production leadership team.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing a manufacturing ERP system.
• Experience supporting production operations, scheduling, or manufacturing administration preferred.
• Tekla PowerFab or similar steel fabrication software experience preferred.
