Job summary

Trexon, an Amphenol company, seeks an ERP System Administrator to own Epicor ERP across multiple instances, ensuring data integrity and security. You will manage user access, BPMs, BAQs, BI dashboards, and deployments with our app dev team, while supporting production operations and leadership.

The role emphasizes hands-on Epicor administration, data migrations, and ITAR/CMMC compliance in a manufacturing context, with strong SQL, scripting, and problem-solving skills essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Epicor ERP administration (E10/Kinetic) experience required.
• Experience with data loads for Epicor implementations using DMT.
• Experience with security, menu maintenance, and multi-company administration.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments (engineer-to-order / configure-to-order).
• Hands-on Power BI development is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of BAQs/UBAQs, BPMs, dashboards, and SSRS.
• ITAR/CMMC 2.0 compliance in ERP context.
• US Person per ITAR is required.

Responsibilities

• Provision, modify, and deactivate user accounts across all company instances.
• Perform menu maintenance and maintain menu structure across companies.
• Administer security groups, field/method-level security, and role-based permissions.
• Manage user licenses and access assignments.
• Serve as the first point of contact for end-user issues; triage, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
• Deploy customizations, BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, and Application Studio layers across DEV / PILOT / PROD.
• Manage solution promotion and version control using Solution Workbench.
• Own and administer the ERP ticketing system; log, prioritize, track, and report on requests.
• Coordinate and support project management for new module rollouts and implementations.
• Maintain the Epicor application environment and database uptime (SQL server, SSRS, app servers).
• Coordinate infrastructure, patching, upgrades, and environment refreshes with hosting/managed-services partner.
• Monitor system health, performance, and scheduled processes; support SQL Server maintenance.
• Maintain Epicor functions and external database integrations.
• Ensure successful nightly backups and weekly verification.
• Create and maintain documentation for configurations and deployments.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field, or a combination of education and hands-on ERP/BI administration experience (3+ years).
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined under ITAR (22 CFR 120.62).

Experience:

• 4+ years of hands-on Epicor ERP administration experience (E10/Kinetic strongly preferred) is required.
• Experience in managing data loads for new Epicor implementations is required. Data Management Tool (DMT).
• Experience with pipeline orchestration such as Apache Airflow (or similar) is a plus.
• Experience with user security, menu maintenance, and multi-company administration is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing/engineer-to-order or configure-to-order environment is required.
• Familiarity with hosted or managed Epicor environments in GCCH is preferred.
• Proficiency reading, troubleshooting, and deploying BAQs, UBAQs, BPMs, dashboards, Application Studio customizations, SSRS reports, DMT solutions, and Power BI (hands-on development a strong plus) is required.
• Project management experience with ERP module implementations is preferred.
• Working understanding of ITAR and CMMC 2.0 compliance in an ERP context is required.

Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of BAQs — with the ability to read, troubleshoot, and deploy is required.
• Familiarity with Epicor customizations and Application Studio is required.

Skills:

• Strong SQL and REST API integration skills; scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell), Git-based version control, and ERP automation are a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, end-user support, and written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while being a self-starter who begins tasks and works effectively on their own initiative to complete them is required.
• Familiarity with the PDCA Cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Escalate complex development issues to the application development team.
• Deploy customizations, BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, and Application Studio layers built by the app dev team across DEV / PILOT / PROD.
• Manage solution promotion and version control using Solution Workbench.

Ticketing & Project Management

• Own and administer the ERP ticketing system; log, prioritize, track, and report on requests.
• Coordinate and support project management for new module rollouts and implementations
• Maintain the Epicor application environment and database uptime (SQL server, task agent, SSRS, app servers/environments).
• Coordinate infrastructure, patching, upgrades, and environment refreshes with our hosting / managed-services partner.
• Monitor system health, performance, and scheduled processes. Support SQL Server database maintenance (indexes and transaction logs) in coordination with the hosting / managed-services partner.
• Maintain Epicor functions and external database integrations.
• Ensure successful nightly backups and weekly verification.

Documentation & Training

• Create and maintain documentation for configurations, security roles, deployments, and standard operating procedures.
• Develop end-user training materials and support adoption and standardization across sites.
• Identify and drive continuous-improvement opportunities in ERP processes and how the business uses Epicor.

Other responsibilities, initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required.

Internal and External Relationships

The ERP System Administrator will collaborate with almost all internal departments to keep data flowing smoothly and systems aligned with business goals. This includes the IT support and infrastructure team, application development team, ERP team, database administrators, and end users.

Externally, the ERP System Administrator may interface with ERP software vendors (Epicor/EpicCare), account managers, and technical support teams. This role may also interface with third-party add-on vendors.
