Job summary

Talently is seeking an ERP Support Analyst in Des Plaines, IL to support a Microsoft Dynamics NAV/365 Business Central environment during a major ERP transformation. You will work with accounting, operations, IT and project management to drive reliability, adoption and performance across modules.

The role focuses on end-user support, issue resolution, data migrations for acquisitions, and training material development to ensure consistent processes and successful upgrades.

Qualifications

• Four or more years hands-on experience supporting Dynamics 365 BC.
• Previous experience with NAV versions 3.x–2009.
• Strong working knowledge of financial, operational, and job costing modules.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting customized NAV or BC environments.
• Proficiency with Object Designer.
• Practical experience with Project Pro and Payroll NOW, or comparable payroll solutions such as Serenic or Sylogist Payroll.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Background in accounting, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day end-user support across General Ledger, Job Costing, Field Service Management, Purchasing and Payables, Sales and Receivables, Inventory Management, and Payroll modules.
• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues across NAV and Business Central environments.
• Support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close and reporting processes.
• Analyze, document, and resolve ERP issues while coordinating with business users and technical teams to identify root causes.
• Participate in testing, validation, and rollout activities for upgrades, integrations, and software enhancements.
• Develop user documentation and assist with training to improve adoption and process consistency.
• Support ERP onboarding for acquisitions, including data migration, system configuration, and end-user training.
• Collaborate with IT, accounting, operations, and project management teams to promote system reliability and continuous improvement.

• Experience with acquisition onboarding, data migration, and ERP configuration.
• Knowledge of construction, job costing, field service, or project-based business operations.
• Experience creating training materials and delivering cross‑functional end‑user training.
