Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced ERP & Business Systems Manager to own and optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for a growing manufacturing organization. You will drive implementation, go-live readiness, and ongoing system enhancements while collaborating with external consultants and internal stakeholders.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on BC experience, ERP implementation know-how, and the ability to work across technical and business teams across locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting ERP systems and enterprise business applications.
• Direct hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is required.
• Experience leading a Business Central implementation, migration, or major transformation preferred.
• Strong understanding of ERP processes and cross-functional operations.
• Experience with system integrations, configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills for training and supporting technical and non-technical users.
• Experience with Power BI and SQL is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Business Central implementation from early stages through go-live and ongoing optimization.
• Partner with external implementation consultants and vendors to ensure configuration, integration, testing, and deployment.
• Manage ERP enhancements, upgrades, customizations, and system performance.
• Lead user training and adoption across locations; ensure effective training on processes.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, processes, and training materials.
• Translate business needs into effective system solutions with business leaders.
• Lead integrations between Business Central and other critical applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex ERP and application issues.
• Support BI, reporting, and data analytics initiatives.
• Ensure appropriate system security, user access, and compliance.
• Travel to additional locations as needed, with more travel during implementation/go-live.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced ERP & Business Systems Manager to lead the implementation, administration, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for a growing manufacturing organization.

This individual will serve as the primary internal owner of Business Central and play a key role throughout implementation, go-live, user training, and ongoing system optimization. The organization is in the early stages of its Business Central implementation and will utilize an external consulting partner for implementation support; however, this position will ultimately take ownership of the system internally.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience, strong ERP implementation knowledge, and the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple locations.

• Lead and support the Business Central implementation from early stages through go-live and ongoing optimization.
• Partner closely with external implementation consultants and vendors to ensure successful system configuration, integration, testing, and deployment.
• Manage ongoing ERP enhancements, upgrades, customizations, and system performance.
• Lead user training and adoption efforts across multiple locations, ensuring employees are effectively trained on Business Central and established processes.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, processes, and training materials.
• Partner with business leaders and department heads to understand operational requirements and translate business needs into effective system solutions.
• Lead integration efforts between Business Central and other business-critical applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex ERP and application issues.
• Support business intelligence, reporting, and data analytics initiatives.
• Ensure appropriate system security, user access controls, and compliance standards.
• Travel to additional company locations as needed, with increased travel anticipated during implementation and go-live.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting ERP systems and enterprise business applications.
• Direct hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is required.
• Experience participating in or leading a Business Central implementation, migration, or major transformation strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of ERP processes and cross-functional business operations.
• Experience working with ERP implementation partners, consultants, and third-party vendors.
• Experience with system integrations, configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support technical and non-technical users.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or similarly complex operational environments preferred.
• Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI and SQL is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
