Responsibilities

Job description

A growing ~$100M company with operations spanning cosmetics, contract manufacturing, third-party distribution, and 3PL logistics is looking for an experienced ERP Project Manager to take the lead on its Microsoft Business Central implementation. The implementation is already underway and has run into project management challenges. Your job is to get it back on track: bring structure, align the system with how the business actually runs, and drive it to a successful finish.

This role is on-site in Carlsbad, CA (north San Diego County). The start is imminent, so we're looking for someone who can step in within days to a few weeks.

What You'll Do

• Lead the implementation. Own the Microsoft Business Central implementation and make sure it fits the company's manufacturing and distribution processes.
• Turn the project around. Diagnose the current project management challenges and streamline the ERP integration process so the program moves forward with clear scope, ownership, and momentum.
• Connect the ecosystem. Work with contract manufacturers, third-party distributors, and 3PL logistics teams so operations run smoothly through and after the transition.
• Run the plan. Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet business expectations.
• Keep stakeholders informed. Provide regular updates and reports on progress, risks, and milestones.

What You Bring

• Extensive experience managing ERP projects, particularly in manufacturing and distribution environments
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering ERP implementations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align internal teams, external partners, and leadership
• Ability to work on-site in Carlsbad or the surrounding San Diego area

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or its predecessor, Dynamics NAV)
• Experience stepping into and recovering an ERP implementation already in progress
• Background in cosmetics, personal care, or other consumer packaged goods, including lot tracking and batch manufacturing
• Experience coordinating with contract manufacturers, 3PL providers, and third-party distributors
