Job summary

Mixer Systems, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate and monitor production activities, ensuring on-time manufacturing orders and accurate ERP data.

You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to prioritize work, verify BOMs and routings, and maintain feasible schedules that meet customer delivery commitments. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, inventory control, or a related manufacturing function.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production documentation, and material requirements.
• Basic understanding of ERP systems, work orders, and inventory transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming work orders for accuracy, completeness, and production readiness.
• Verify materials, BOMs, engineering drawings, routings, and other production requirements prior to releasing work orders.
• Release, monitor, update, and close work orders within the ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on customer requirements, material availability, manufacturing capacity, and operational priorities.
• Coordinate production schedules and priorities with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Project Coordinator.
• Monitor work order progress throughout the manufacturing process, identifying potential delays, bottlenecks, and scheduling conflicts.
• Identify and resolve material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and work order inaccuracies in collaboration with appropriate departments.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure required materials and components are available to support production schedules.
• Communicate engineering changes and revised production requirements to affected departments, adjusting work orders and schedules as necessary.
• Maintain accurate ERP data related to work orders, material requirements, production schedules, and order status.
• Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, and potential delivery delays to appropriate personnel.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, workflow efficiency, inventory accuracy, and manufacturing processes.
