Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Master Data Specialist BOM for a 12+ month contract that is largely remote. You will clean, standardize, and centralize BOM and related master data to support an upcoming ERP implementation, collaborating with quality and plant teams across multiple sites.

The role emphasizes Excel-based data validation, handling large BOM datasets, and working in ambiguity to ensure ERP-ready data. Travel to central US facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning and standardizing BOM and part data.
• Proficient in Excel for data validation and pivot tables.
• Ability to work with large data sets and multiple plants.
• Familiarity with BOM structures in production environments.
• Experience with data governance or data cleansing projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with governance and quality teams for ERP prep.
• Analyze and consolidate BOMs, recipes, and quality data.
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies in part numbers across plants.
• Review data for completeness and clarify missing information.
• Extract and transform data from Excel for ERP readiness.
• Validate data using Excel tools and reconcile large datasets.
• Support documentation of data standards and governance rules.
• Assist in testing master data during ERP implementation.
• Communicate with plant personnel and stakeholders to align standards.
