Actalent in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Production Planner to gather, analyze, and communicate information essential for production processes. You will work with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Accounting, and more to ensure smooth operations and timely customer orders.

The role includes updating statuses in Sharepoint, data entry in ERP and MS Office, and forecasting material purchases to meet customer orders.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in relevant field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing, planning, or inventory control.
• Ability to compile reports on work progress and forecast inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from instructions, drawings, schedules, invoices, or flow charts.
• Communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates by telephone, email, or in person.
• Attend meetings to provide updates and relevant information.
• Update and track status in Sharepoint.
• Enter and retrieve data in ERP systems and MS Office.
• Forecast and plan material purchases to meet customer orders.
• Determine time-phased material requirements and lead times.
• Set up review points to monitor progress and expedite as needed.
• Prioritize materials to support schedules and deadlines.
• Monitor costs and schedule status.
• Identify and troubleshoot earned value status on assigned programs.
• Interpret contract provisions affecting material planning and control.
• Follow up to obtain needed information for tasks.
• Determine inventory requirements and manage residual materials.
