Job summary

M&M Quality Grinding, located in Hodgkins, Illinois, seeks an Operations Planner & Buyer to optimize production flow, manage work orders in ERP, and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of quality machined parts.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in production planning/purchasing, strong math/analytical and computer skills, and familiarity with ISO standards. Hence, the role offers strong growth and a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Five years minimum in production planning and/or purchasing in manufacturing.
• High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials and tooling for machining jobs.
• Plan and schedule production orders based on customer demands using ERP.
• Review routers and update work orders daily in ERP.
• Oversee inventory and adjust as needed for accuracy.
• Track vendor performance and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate ship dates and communicate with team on schedule.
• Generate production and inventory reports for management.
