Job summary

gategroup is seeking a dedicated purchasing specialist in the Los Angeles area to manage ERP-related purchasing tasks, master data updates, and inventory activities. The role requires strong Excel proficiency and familiarity with BOM systems to ensure accurate data and timely reporting.

The successful candidate will coordinate with the finance team, unit buyers, and vendors, contributing to weekly variance reviews and system improvements.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• College degree a plus.
• 2–5 years purchasing experience.
• Experience with a Bill of Materials system.
• ERP data management experience a plus.
• Buying experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates ERP related physical inventory activities and month-end activities.
• Generates purchase price variance reports and reviews with Unit Buyer weekly.
• Acts as Unit’s ERP “Super User” and first contact for ERP questions.
• Submits ERP related helpdesk issues and BOM change requests.
• Ensures forecast is run weekly and verifies data accuracy.
