Job summary

PlanIT Group in Chicago is seeking an ERP Project Lead with a strong accounting/finance background to oversee custom ERP builds from conception through full go-live, testing, UAT, and post-implementation support.

Candidates should understand FIFO, General Ledger, cost accounting, and related concepts, and be able to justify ERP investments with solid accounting principles. Local Chicago area preferred for on-site presence with full remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with custom ERP builds from conception to full go-live.
• Strong accounting and finance background including GAAP concepts.
• Experience with go-live, implementation, support, UAT, and testing of ERP projects.
• Understanding of FIFO, General Ledger, cost accounting and related accounting terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERP build projects from conception to full go-live and post-implementation support.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, data migration, and cutover activities.
• Translate business needs into ERP requirements with strong accounting rationale.

• Needs to have strong understanding of "why's" and reason to implement new ERP build with strong accounting principles
