Summary
We are seeking an experienced ERP Business Analyst - Operations - to serve as the primary liaison between business users and the IT applications team for operational ERP processes. This role will work closely with stakeholders across manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, warehousing, purchasing, and related functions to understand business needs, translate requirements into effective solutions, and provide Level 2 functional support and implementations for the ERP application. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of ERP support experience, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365, and combines strong business analysis skills with a practical understanding of operational processes.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Partner with business users and process owners to understand operational challenges, objectives, and system requirements
- Facilitate discovery sessions, interviews, and process reviews to document current-state and future-state workflows
- Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements, process maps, user stories, test scripts and acceptance criteria
- Analyze requests to identify process improvements, standard ERP capabilities, and opportunities to reduce manual work
- Validate proposed solutions with business stakeholders and maintain traceability from requirements through testing and deployment
ERP Application Support
- Provide Level 2 functional support for ERP incidents, service requests, and user questions
- Investigate and resolve application issues by reproducing problems, analyzing configuration and data, and coordinating with technical resources when needed
- Prioritize support requests based on business impact and communicate status, workarounds, and resolution details to users
- Escalate complex defects or technical issues to internal development teams, vendors, or implementation partners with complete supporting documentation
- Monitor recurring issues, identify root causes, and recommend sustainable corrective actions
- Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Document, interpret, and implement Release updates to systems, reviewing with Business leads and with System partners to provide path forward on improvement.
Operations Process Support
- Support ERP processes used by Operations, including manufacturing, production planning, inventory management, warehouse management, procurement, quality, and related workflows
- Work with users to improve transaction accuracy, process consistency, and effective use of the ERP application
- Assist with master data review, data quality, and process controls that affect operational execution and reporting
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, and IT to resolve cross-functional process and system issues
Solution Delivery & Continuous Improvement
- Configure or coordinate approved ERP changes in accordance with established development and change-management practices
- Develop test plans and test scripts, coordinate user acceptance testing, document results, and verify that solutions meet business requirements
- Support ERP updates, enhancements, integrations, data conversions, deployments, and post-implementation activities
- Create user guides and training materials and provide training or coaching for end users and process owners
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and recommend practical solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and user adoption
Stakeholder Communication & Documentation
- Build effective working relationships with end users, subject matter experts, process owners, IT team members, and external partners
- Communicate technical and functional concepts clearly to both business and technical audiences
- Provide regular updates on assigned incidents, requests, enhancements, risks, and dependencies
- Maintain accurate documentation of requirements, decisions, configurations, testing, and support resolutions

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
- Relevant ERP, business analysis, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are a plus
