Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Richmond, VA seeks a Configuration Analyst to join our ERP/PLM driven engineering team. You will support documentation release, BOM management, and part-number configuration for ETO/CTO product lines.

The role requires strong attention to data accuracy, strict revision control, and collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement to ensure timely access to engineering data across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of the described location
• Ability to read technical documents, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering Teams with releasing documents and updating them in ERP system
• Ensure all engineering documents are properly revision-controlled following established processes
• Examine engineering documents for accuracy and completeness
• Work with engineer originating the document to troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies
• Process and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Deviations and follow up to resolve issues and get approvals
• Support part number creation and updates using the Product Data Management (PDM) tool
• Generate and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support both Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Configure-to-Order (CTO) product lines
• Ensure engineering documents are available to other departments in a timely manner and in accordance with established processes
