Job summary

Dexelance USA, based in the NYC NoMad Design District, seeks an ERP rollout specialist to ensure successful implementation and adoption of the new system. You will work with our Italy-based IT team and embed with the NYC back-office to coordinate adoption and data integrity.

You’ll report to the CEO in the US and the Head of IT in Italy, serving as the go-to guide for operational use of the ERP and process alignment across teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ERP rollout experience, with actual implementation exposure.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, able to flag issues clearly.
• Experience in back-office, operations, or order-management work.
• Comfort coordinating a team without formal management authority.
• Italian language is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-the-ground ERP rollout lead, coordinating config, testing, and troubleshooting with the IT team in Italy.
• Coordinate the 5-person back-office team through the transition, train users, answer questions, and ensure consistent use.
• Verify product codes, orders, and data entries; flag issues early to prevent cascading problems.
• Participate in day-to-day back-office operations to gain hands-on understanding of workflows.
• Act as translator between local needs and IT system changes for the implementation team.

About the role

We're rolling out a new ERP system (Odoo) and need someone to make sure it's implemented correctly and the team actually adopts and uses it well. This is not a software development or engineering role — you won't be writing code — but you do need to genuinely understand how ERP systems work from having been part of a real implementation or rollout before, ideally Odoo.

You’ll work directly with our IT department in Italy on the technical side of the rollout, and day to day you’ll be embedded in our existing 5-person back-office team here in New York — coordinating their adoption of the new system, making sure data and processes are followed correctly, and catching issues before they become expensive problems. This role does not have direct reports, but you’ll be the person the back-office team looks to for how the new system should be used.

You’ll report to the CEO in the US and to the Head of IT in Italy.

What you’ll do

• Serve as the on-the-ground point person for the Odoo rollout, working with our Italy-based IT team on configuration, testing, and troubleshooting
• Coordinate our 5-person back-office team through the transition — training, answering questions, and making sure the system is used consistently across the team
• Check that product codes, orders, and data entries are accurate; flag and help resolve issues before they cascade
• Take part in day-to-day back-office operations (quoting, order processing/registration, release) so you understand the work firsthand, not just in the abstract
• Act as the translator between "here’s not working for us" and "here’s what needs to change in the system" for our IT team in Italy

What we’re looking for

• Real, hands‑on experience with an ERP system, including having taken part in an implementation or rollout — Odoo experience is a strong plus, but experience with NetSuite, SAP Business One, Zoho, or similar is also relevant
• Analytical and detail-oriented, comfortable being the person who double-checks things and raises issues clearly, even to people more senior
• Experience in back-office, operations, or order-management work, ideally at a small or mid-sized company
• Comfortable coordinating the work of a team you don’t formally manage — this role is about influence and clarity, not authority
• Italian language is a plus, not required

Experience & education

• Roughly 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, with meaningful (at least 1-2 years) hands‑on exposure to an ERP system as a genuine requirement (this is the one qualification we won’t flex on)
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, information systems, or a related field is preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience will also be considered

Base salary + MBO, generous PTO and full benefits. Position is based in our NYC office (NoMad Design District). This is an in‑person role (non‑negotiable)
