Job summary

Western Alliance Bank seeks an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team Lead to lead controls testing and risk identification across the organization. You will oversee testing engagements, prepare reporting, and support governance across the enterprise.

The role requires 3+ years in controls testing, a related bachelor's degree, and strong knowledge of banking operations, regulatory obligations, and risk frameworks such as COSO and Basel. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience in controls testing.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Intermediate knowledge of regulatory obligations and industry standards.
• Experience across one or more of the three lines of defense (ops, IT, compliance, risk).
• Familiarity with risk and control frameworks and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks across the organization.
• Oversee the Controls Testing program, ensuring adherence to methodology and reporting.
• Prepare reports that summarize testing engagements, issues, and recommendations.
• Support Second Line of Defense Enterprise and Operational Risk Programs and training.
• Promote a strong risk culture among associates.
