Job summary

University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) is looking for a dynamic ERM Manager to lead and mature our risk strategy in a cross-functional role. The position guides four pillars: risk assessment, incident response, business continuity, and corporate compliance, partnering with RAC and broader UCAR teams to elevate risk maturity.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a proactive, results-oriented approach within a complex organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business or related operational management.
• Five (5) years of comparable enterprise risk management experience.
• Experience in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and risk reporting.
• Experience leading incident response efforts with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of business continuity principles and planning methodologies.
• Experience working in matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessment and mitigation across the organization.
• Coordinate incident response and recovery activities with RAC and leadership.
• Develop and manage business continuity plans and testing.
• Ensure corporate compliance and reporting to executive leadership.
• Collaborate with departments to foster risk-aware culture.
• Oversee risk dashboards, metrics, and governance reporting.
