Job summary

The Compliance Analyst at the University of Virginia will function as a generalist compliance analyst within Financial Operations, supporting the enterprise risk management program and payment card compliance initiatives. Reporting to the Tax & Payment Card Compliance Manager, this role helps administer the Academic Division ERM and oversees PCI activities across divisions.

Required are at least four years in a compliance environment, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of compliance experience.
• Experience in enterprise risk management and/or payment card compliance a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication are essential for professional interactions.
• Ability to design and improve processes using available technology and web resources.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a generalist compliance analyst for the Financial Operations unit.
• Compile and organize data for the University’s ERM program.
• Analyze and maintain the University ERM risk register.
• Assist with and record the results of department-level risk analysis meetings.
• Coordinate ERM report generation and meeting scheduling.
• Follow PCI procedures to ensure compliance with policy and standards.
• Instruct units on PCI procedures and security measures.
• Coordinate with Arrow Payments and assist with payment platform security and PCI tasks.
