Job summary

Capital One in Chicago, IL is seeking a Manager to join Enterprise Risk Management to support the Risk Appetite Framework, risk metrics, and governance reporting. You will oversee execution, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to sustain a holistic risk profile and deliver value to senior leadership.

The role requires strong project management, data analysis, and communication skills, with experience in financial services or risk management and a MBA or Masters preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in Project or Process Management.
• At least 4 years of Financial Services or Risk Management experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in metric analysis or governance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution and day-to-day operations of the enterprise Risk Appetite Framework and risk metric programs.
• Drive the project management and milestone execution for the risk metrics system of record initiative and other strategic team projects.
• Execute and enhance Risk Appetite and risk metric strategies, methodologies, governance, and reporting elements.
• Cultivate data sources to feed metrics/reporting; clearly define requirements for creation and ongoing enhancements of an enterprise risk metric system of record.
• Perform and support detailed validation data analysis to include trending, problem identification, and development/completion of remediation plans.
• Consult on analysis and reporting outcomes to observe trends and provide insights on changes to the Company’s risk environments.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and leaders across multiple organizations to achieve objectives.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and analysis skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, problem solving and influencing skills across various levels of the organization.
• Actively support internal control testing, audits, and regulatory exams.
• Stay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to Capital One.
• Balance multiple priorities to help drive business value and support team objectives, while managing tasks and activities related to risk management initiatives in a well-managed capacity.
