Position Overview

Erlang Developer at MNJ SOFTWARE – design, develop and implement custom projects and products. Work closely with leads, testers, customers, project/product managers and designers.

Experience: 2-5 yrs
Job Type: Permanent / Contract (Depends on Project Needs or C2H)
Position Type: Full time (Monday – Friday). Flexibility to work any of our 9‑hour shift schedules during normal business hours (6am‑10pm IST or 6pm‑6am IST). Occasional overtime may be required (unpaid).
Qualification: ME/M.TECH/BE/B.TECH/MCA/M.Sc(IT)/B.Sc etc.
Location: Remote (Work From Home).
Eligibility: Only authorized to work in India and no visa sponsorship at this time.

Technical Skills

• Candidates with experience in Erlang, Go or Python are preferred.
• Working experience in a Product Start‑Up (Internet / E‑commerce) building scalable applications.
• Hands‑on experience in system architecture and app development.
• Good spoken and written communication skills.
• Good team player.
• Sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills.
• Ability to think critically about the current system in terms of software development.

Responsibilities

• Handle server‑side programming of the application.
• Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code.
• Translate software requirements into stable, working, high‑performance software.
• Translate design mockups and prototypes into working applications.
• Research, design, develop, code, test and support Erlang‑based software and ejabberd.
• Architect and develop scalable, distributed solutions for emerging platform features.
• Develop solutions using distributed concurrent programming, software packaging and release.
• Write code in Erlang.
• Build customer‑facing technology products, develop highly scalable code and work closely with Engineering and Product Team.
• Build social, web and mobile‑based apps for users worldwide.
