COVE Animal Health's Pieper Veterinary in Middletown, CT is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced Emergency Care team. We value teamwork, clear communication, and a calm focus during critical moments to deliver the highest standard of patient care.

The role requires experience with patient restraint, triage, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia. CPR, EzyVet, and SmartFlow knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates in Veterinary Technology is a plus.
• CVT license is a plus.
• Experience with anesthesia and monitoring.
• Knowledge of scheduling, receiving, treating, ordering tests.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques.
• Knowledge of veterinary instruments and equipment.
• Strong client communication.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Assist with restraint, triage, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia.
• Support scheduling, patient intake, labs, and client communication.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to deliver top care.
