Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center in Middletown, CT is seeking a Veterinary Technician for inpatient nursing on 1st shift (PT). The role requires at least 1 year in a busy hospital, with skills in restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia.

Knowledge of EzyVet and SmartFlow is a plus, CVT license a plus. You will work in a VECCS Level I facility with a collaborative team, opportunities for CE and professional growth, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a busy hospital focusing on nursing care.
• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology is a plus.
• CVT license is a plus.
• Knowledge with anesthesia and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in inpatient unit and assist with patient handling.
• Assist with anesthesia and monitoring during procedures.
• Schedule patients, manage medical supplies, and request lab tests as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain high standard of patient care and client communication.
