Job summary

Pieper Memorial in Middletown, CT, seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician for the overnight inpatient unit. Join our emergency care team to care for hospitalized pets during night hours and contribute to life-saving treatments.

We value team players with strong nursing skills, CPR knowledge, and familiarity with EzyVet and Smartflow. Applicants with 1+ year of hospital experience and a Veterinary Technology degree are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a busy hospital focusing on nursing care.
• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology is a plus.
• CVT license is a plus. (additional compensation provided for CVT)
• Knowledge of instruments, materials, and equipment used in veterinary care.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and patient care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for pets in overnight inpatient setting.
• Collaborate with ER and specialty teams to deliver high-quality care.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and assist with procedures.
• Support team with client communication and education.
