Qualifications

• Experienced Veterinary Technician in emergency care.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and use monitoring equipment.
• Proficient in phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Comfort with triage and vital signs interpretation.
• Mentor and train other staff.
• Patient and client empathy.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Triage emergencies and record vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Interpret vital signs and alert Veterinarian.
• Initiate CPR for at-risk patients.
• Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Place feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Address client concerns with empathy.
