BluePearl Pet Hospital in Blaine, MN is hiring experienced Part-time Veterinary Technicians for our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and love caring for critically ill pets, we’d like to hear from you.

Responsibilities include anesthesia management, triage, radiography, vital signs monitoring, CPR, and mentoring teammates while delivering compassionate care to pets and families in our ER/CCU.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technician in emergency and critical care.
• Willingness to work part-time in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Commitment to compassionate care for pets and families.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia using appropriate equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Understand normal vital ranges and alert Vets to changes.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs during care.
• Identify at-risk patients and initiate CPR when needed.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Place feeding tubes and central line catheters as required.
• Mentor and train other co-workers and support staff.
• Provide empathetic client communication and reassurance.
