The PARC, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner in Fort Worth, TX, is hiring an ER Veterinary Technician to join our 24/7 emergency hospital. You’ll assist veterinarians, monitor anesthesia, perform in-house diagnostics, and help with admissions and discharges to provide compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of emergency veterinary technician experience.
• ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials strongly encouraged.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail in fast-moving situations.
• Comfort working with ICU patients and advanced diagnostics.
• Calm, focused, and decisive under pressure.
• Passionate about emergency and critical care medicine.
• Team-oriented and supportive of colleagues.
• Committed to compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Supporting veterinarians during emergency cases.
• Delivering emergency first aid and advanced nursing care to injured or critical patients.
• Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical and post-operative care.
• Preparing patients and instruments for emergency procedures.
• Obtaining and monitoring vital signs, including blood pressure and SpO₂.
• Collecting lab samples (blood, urine, tissue) and performing in-house diagnostics.
• Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records.
• Supporting patient flow through admissions, treatment, and discharge.
• Maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment, and exam areas.
• Using safe restraint techniques and following hospital protocols.
• Collaborating closely with doctors, technicians, and support teams.
