Job summary

The PARC, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, in Fort Worth, TX, is hiring a full-time Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technician for overnight shifts. You will contribute to 24/7 ER/ICU services in a state-of-the-art facility and support high‑acuity patients with advanced nursing care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience as a veterinary technician in an Emergency and/or Intensive Care setting.
• ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT encouraged to apply
• Demonstrated experience providing advanced nursing care to hospitalized, high‑acuity ICU patients
• Proven ability to monitor critical patients and interpret BP, ECG, SpO₂, and EtCO₂
• Strong medical math skills for CRIs and fluid therapy
• Solid understanding of disease progression, treatment plans, and medication protocols

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced ICU nursing care for hospitalized, high‑acuity patients with continuous monitoring.
• Monitor patient data (BP, ECG, SpO₂, EtCO₂) and trend vitals to support medical decisions.
• Manage CRIs, multimodal drug infusions, and complex fluid therapy.
• Perform and maintain central lines, NG tubes, and long‑term catheters with infection‑control practices.
• Support higher‑risk anesthesia cases and post‑operative/ICU recovery.
• Assist veterinarians with advanced procedures and specialty surgeries.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure shift‑to‑shift continuity.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and the team to support evolving treatment plans and patient flow.
