Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician for Emergency & Critical Care in Las Vegas, NV. You will join a fast-paced, high‑quality team supporting critically ill patients with advanced nursing skills and diagnostic support.

Open to various shifts (days, swings, overnights) at main and north locations with competitive hourly pay and differential. Relocation bonus and full benefits available.

Qualifications

• LVT with ER experience or 2+ years of general practice LVT experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills.
• Reliable and committed to high-quality patient and client care.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming emergencies and help stabilize critical patients alongside our veterinary team.
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized and ICU patients, closely monitoring and documenting vital signs and changes in condition.
• Perform anesthetic monitoring for emergent and critical care cases, as well as routine procedures.
• Collect and prepare time-sensitive diagnostic samples, including arterial blood gases, blood draws, cystocentesis, and urine samples.
• Perform blood typing and cross-matching to support transfusions, along with other lab procedures such as slide agglutination.
• Take and process radiographs (abdominal, thoracic, appendicular, spinal, skull) quickly and accurately while following radiation safety protocols.
• Support multiple veterinarians across emergency and specialty cases in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
• Communicate with compassion and professionalism to clients during stressful situations, while maintaining confidentiality.
