NVA Animal Medical Center of Plainfield is seeking experienced ER veterinary technicians to join our urgent care hospital serving the Southwest suburbs of Chicago. The role supports emergency medicine, anesthesia monitoring, and perioperative nursing within a 20-doctor practice that provides emergency and ER surgical services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years ER veterinary technician experience.
• Flexible, well-rounded candidate for various shifts (morning, afternoon, holiday, swing, weekends).

Job Description: We are seeking flexible, well-rounded experienced ( 5+year ) ER Veterinary Technicians ready for various shifts including (but not limited to) morning, afternoon, holiday, swing and weekend positions at our hospital.

About Us: NVA Animal Medical Center of Plainfield provides urgent care for pets who are sick or injured when their primary care veterinarian is closed or overwhelmed. We service the entire Southwest suburbs of Chicago and our growing 20-doctor practice not only offers emergency services, but we also offer ER surgical services such as caesarians, ingested foreign body removal, GDV surgery, laceration repair and any other procedures that cannot wait until the primary care veterinarian's office is open and available. We utilize digital radiography, in-house laboratory and blood typing, isolation ward and two surgical suites. We had our GRAND OPENING: August 1st, 2023 that is equipped with 2 state of the art surgical suites, dual dental suites, 2 isolation wards for canines , a large canine hospitalization ward and separated feline ward and 20 exam rooms! We offer in house abdominal and echocardiograms through our in house Ultrasound technician and more!

Required Skills:

• Phlebotomy & catheter placement
• Knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique
• Anesthesia monitoring proficiency
• Perioperative surgical nursing skills
• ICU nursing skills
• Experience operating fluid pumps and maintaining IV sets

Emergency Medicine skills to include CPR proficiency

Day clinic hours are:

6am-10pm 7 days a week

Daytime, afternoon, swing and weekend shifts available

Salary: $23-29 dependant on experience/knowledge
