Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Des Moines, IA seeks a Veterinary Technician for mid-shift or overnight hours to deliver exceptional patient care and support a fast-paced, collaborative team. The role demands flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays while providing high-quality medical services.

You will triage, obtain histories, initiate CPR when needed, place IVs or central lines, monitor ventilator patients, and mentor junior staff as part of a dynamic team focused on compassionate care

Qualifications

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong teamwork and patient-care commitment.

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our team. If you enjoy patient care and working in a fast-paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment, This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

As a Veterinary T echnician , you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
