Ethos Veterinary Health at Valley Veterinary Emergency & Referral Center in Winchester, VA, seeks experienced Veterinary Assistant (ER/CC) to join our 24/7 emergency team. You’ll work 3x12s, gain advanced ER/CC skills, and impact patient care every shift. Pay is $20–$22/hr plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with animals, preferably in an emergency and specialty hospital.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Properly restrain animals.
• Obtain a thorough history from pet owner.
• Record patient weight and basic vitals.
• Assist in anesthesia induction and surgical prep.
• Prepare and stock surgical packs and supplies.
• Set up, turnover and break down OR and prep areas.
• Follow triage protocols for critical patients.
• Assist with routine exam room procedures.
• Monitor patient behavior and communicate with team.
