Job summary

Fort Washington Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, is seeking a Unit Support Coordinator for the Emergency Room on the night shift. You will support department operations through timely communications, data handling, and clerical tasks while ensuring a safe, orderly work area.

The role requires a HS diploma, 6 months hospital/doctor’s office experience, basic medical terminology, and PC/Internet/email proficiency, with data-entry training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED.
• At least 6 months experience working in a hospital or doctor’s office.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Proficient in PC, Internet, and email required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Training in data entry of clinical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, and performing clerical and other support services as directed.
• Responsible for processing physician orders, communication, and other general duties.
