Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for all new hires.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Current BLS certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
• Experience using computers for word processing, database management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates communication needs of the Emergency Room department.
• Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE/EMR with notation and signature by nursing staff.
• Prepares and maintains patient charts and necessary forms daily.
• Orders supplies for the unit and supports nursing staff with indirect patient care.
