Job summary

Emerus is seeking a healthcare technician to provide essential patient care and technical support across assigned areas. You will collect clinical data, assist with examinations, and maintain a clean, safe environment while following strict privacy and infection-control standards.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, lab testing, patient transport, and supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Corpsman program and 1 year of applicable experience (OR).
• EMT-P/EMT-A/LP with 1 year of experience (OR).
• EMT-B with 1+ year ER experience (specific markets).
• Enrollment in an accredited School of Nursing with 1 year of experience (OR).
• 2+ years ER experience as an ER Technician (OR) or 3+ years as CNA (Wisconsin market).
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets; Wisconsin for EMT-P roles.
• Current PALS certification strongly preferred.
• IV start, phlebotomy, and initiation of EKG preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vital signs and specimens.
• Perform lab testing per policies and CLIA/COLA rules.
• Assist with patient care as per plan of care and supervise wounds.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy; ensure aseptic technique.
• Assist admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
• Attend required staff meetings and perform additional duties.
