Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent and CNA, EMT-B or equivalent certification or experience.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• NVCI or equivalent class as determined to be required by the facility.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs, referral resources, triage and emergency abuse reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and/or registered nurse to provide quality patient care.
• Report abnormal tests, questions, and vital signs to the RN and determine appropriate supplies to maintain patient care.
• Identify patient concerns and ensure proper reporting according to facility policy.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols and assist in triage when needed.
