Job summary

Emerus is seeking an ER Technician to provide technical assistance and patient care across assigned areas in a small-format hospital setting.

The role involves collecting clinical data, performing lab-related tasks, assisting with activities of daily living, providing basic wound care, and ensuring patient safety. Travel to facility locations may be required; shift includes swing and night hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with one of: Medical Corpsman program +1 year exp; EMT-P/AEMT/LP with 1 year exp; EMT-B +1 year ER exp; Nursing student (1st year) +1 year exp; 2+ years ER tech experience; 3+ years CNA with hospital exp (Wisconsin market only); 3+ years as anesthesia/OR tech (Wisconsin market only)

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vitals, height, weight, intake/output, and specimens.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per policies and CLIA/COLA regulations.
• Assist with patient activities and implement the plan of care as directed by the charge nurse.
• Provide superficial wound care and patient safety measures.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and proper aseptic technique.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
