Job summary

Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican Neighborhood Hospital in Las Vegas seeks an ER/acute care technician to provide clinical support and patient care. You will collect vitals, assist with examinations, perform basic lab tasks, and help maintain a safe, clean environment under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS, and EMT/paramedic related credentials. LV market roles may require additional licenses and certifications. Travel between campus locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one of several healthcare training paths.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets.
• PALS certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with IV start, phlebotomy and EKG initiation preferred.
• Las Vegas market requires either Paramedic (EMT-P) or A-EMT license, or IV cert with a phlebotomy or Lab Assistant credential.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data; take vitals and collect specimens.
• Collect lab samples and perform lab testing per policies and CLIA/COLA.
• Assist with patient activities and care per plan.
• Provide superficial wound care and maintain patient safety.
• Protect privacy and confidentiality of information; ensure safe environment.
• Perform aseptic technique and infection control measures; assist with admission, transfer, discharge.
• Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations or procedures; maintain supplies.
• Travel to all facility locations as required; attend meetings; perform additional duties.
