Job summary

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Technical Assistant for a 36-hour week, midnight shift (7pm-7:30am). You will assist with patient care under RN/provider supervision in a high-volume ED serving the Downriver community.

The role includes a 180-day orientation, teamwork, and maintaining a safe patient environment while contributing to timely care and operational support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification required.
• Candidate must have one of the following: B-EMT, MA program completion, nursing program, medical doctor program, or 1 year ER tech experience with certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under supervision of a registered nurse or provider.
• Support the Emergency Department team to ensure timely and effective patient care.
• Contribute to a collaborative environment focused on quality healthcare.
• Complete a 180-day orientation period to integrate into the team and role.
• Work within scope of practice to provide technical assistance in emergencies.
• Help maintain a safe and organized patient care environment.
