Under the supervision of registered nurses and providers, you will assist with vital signs, EKG monitoring, patient transport, room preparation, and ensuring supplies and equipment are ready for care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification required.
• B-EMT certification (or equivalent) required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Completion of a nursing education program (2-year degree or higher).
• Completion of a medical doctor education program.
• OR one year of ER Technical experience with relevant certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, EKG monitoring, and other technical tasks under RN/provider supervision.
• Help with patient positioning, comfort measures, and basic care needs.
• Prepare treatment areas, restock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness.
• Communicate with patients and families, answering questions and providing reassurance.
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and ER staff to deliver care.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and maintain a clean environment.
• Assist with patient transport and documentation support.
• Support the ER team in a fast-paced environment.
