Job summary

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Technical Assistant for a 36-hour week, midnight shift (7pm-7:30am). You will assist with patient care under RN/provider supervision in a high-volume ED serving the Downriver community.

The role includes a 180-day orientation, teamwork, and maintaining a safe patient environment while contributing to timely care and operational support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification required.
• Candidate must have one of the following: B-EMT, MA program completion, nursing program, medical doctor program, or 1 year ER tech experience with certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under supervision of a registered nurse or provider.
• Support the Emergency Department team to ensure timely and effective patient care.

Job Title: Emergency Room Technical Assistant

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• BCLS certification.

One of the following:

• B-EMT certification,
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program,
• Completion of a formal nursing education program,
• Completion of a formal medical doctor education program,
• One (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience (must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire).

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience. - EMT license.
