Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. seeks an ER technician to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care across assigned areas of Zarzamora facility. You will collect clinical data, draw labs, assist with activities, and help ensure patient safety and dignity.

Standard qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and current BLS certification, with ACLS/PALS preferred. The role may require travel to other Emerus locations and participation in team trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS/ALS certification is required in most markets; exceptions noted per market.
• Current PALS certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with EMT/Paramedic pathways preferred.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data; take vital signs, height/weight, intake/output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimens.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing per policies and CLIA/COLAs.
• Assist with patient activities and care as directed by charge nurse or plan of care.
• Provide superficial wound care.
• Ensure patient safety and privacy at all times.
• Maintain aseptic technique, infection control, and proper isolation procedures.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Travel to all facility locations as required.
• Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
