Job summary

UofL Health in Shepherdsville, KY seeks an Emergency Department Tech/Unit Coordinator to provide clinical patient care support under RN supervision, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, admission/discharge tasks, and assist with trauma and respiratory care.

You will handle clerical duties in multiple computer systems, ensure accurate charting, transport patients and specimens, and collaborate with MDs/NPs to set up procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT training program preferred.
• Prior experience in acute care is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical patient care support under RN direction.
• Perform phlebotomy and 12-lead EKGs as needed.
• Assist with trauma, mobility, and respiratory care.
• Transports patients and specimens and supports admission/discharge processes.
• Document and verify patient information in hospital systems.
