Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. seeks an Emergency Department Tech/Unit Coordinator to support RN staff with direct patient care in a fast-paced ED. You will perform venipuncture, EKGs, telemetry, and patient transport, while ensuring accurate documentation in the hospital information systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a recognized Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT program, or Fundamentals of Nursing coursework from an accredited school (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Measure and document intake/output, heights and weights, and vital signs.
• Perform venipuncture and 12-lead ECG under RN direction.
• Transcribe and enter physician orders into hospital systems; assist with admissions and discharges.
• Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and transport, and support ED procedures.
